Mental health literacy is a related concept, referring to knowledge, beliefs, and perceptions about mental disorders. Mental health literacy is an especially important topic when it comes to problems like mood and anxiety disorders. These two classes of disorders are amongst the most prevalent types of mental illness, and the most costly. Generalized Anxiety Disorder In the case of anxiety disorders like generalized anxiety disorder (GAD), people often delay seeking treatment. One study reported that while approximately 86% of individuals with GAD seek treatment at some point in their lifetime; only about one-third do so in the first year of onset. These delays can be linked for some to poorer outcomes, and in the case of young folks with anxiety, a worsening of symptoms from sub-clinical to clinical status. Delays in seeking treatment might be attributed to (1) stigma about mental illness, (2) poor access to resources for treatment, or (3) normalization of symptoms.  Fortunately, the stigma surrounding mental illness and their treatment is gradually improving (especially among young adults). In addition, changes to the US healthcare system are (slowly) improving access and coverage for care. However, normalization of symptoms â€" perceiving associated features of anxiety to be less problematic than they actually are â€" remains a complex problem to solve.  Because anxiety is a normal emotion and a biologically adaptive physical state to experience, it is very challenging to parse out garden variety, often-helpful anxiety from its more distressing and impairing clinical counterpart. Narrowing the Gap in Mental Health Literacy But a study published in the Journal of Public Mental Health on mental health literacy for anxiety disorders provides good evidence that narrowing the gap in mental health literacy for GAD is necessary. In this study, fictional vignettes depicting individuals with mild/subclinical, moderate, and severe cases of GAD, social anxiety disorder, and major depressive disorder were provided to 270 adults and two expert raters (who had extensive training in structured clinical interviews for anxiety disorders). The main findings of this study were: Non-experts perceived mild/subclinical and moderate cases of social anxiety disorder to be less severe than the expert raters.For GAD, significant underrating of severity by non-expert participants as compared to experts occurred at all levels â€" mild/subclinical, moderate, and severe.All severities of major depressive disorder were overrated by participants as compared to expert raters.  According to the study authors, this may mean that efforts to raise awareness about depression in the general public have been effective. The normalization of symptoms can manifest as a denial of their seriousness or lack of knowledge about markers of severity. POETRY ASSIGNMENT ?Biography John Le Gay Brereton was born in Sydney, Australia, on the 2nd of September 1871. He was the fifth son of John Le Gay Brereton (snr), a doctor, and his wife Mary Tongue. His parents and family life impacted greatly on his view of the world, distorting it from the views of the norm of the times. John junior went to school at Sydney grammar school, and was just 15 when his father died in 1886. John moved on to study at the University of Sydney, and graduated with a bachelor of Arts in 1894. John was the editor of many newspapers, including his school paper, as well as the university paper: Hermes, and after 1890, John was a regular contributor to the Sydney quarterly magazine. Through his press ties, his poetry and literature became better known than that of most poets of the era. John produced his first poetry anthology in 1896, titled: the song of brotherhood and other verses. John produced another anthology in 1897 titled: sweetheart mine: lyrics of love and friendship. The year 1900 saw John marry Winifred Odd. In 1902, John returned to the university of Sydney, as the librarian’s assistant. He was known among the students and staff at the university to defy the way of the time by never wearing a top hat. In 1908, john published his 3rd volume of poetry titled: sea and sky. Another volume followed after the first world war, in 1919, titled: the Burning Marl. 2 years after releasing his fourth volume, he was appointed professor of English at the University of Sydney. John produced his final volume: Swags up! In 1928, and produced a series of autobiographical essays in 1930. In 1993 John went on holiday in Tamworth, and died there whilst still on holiday. John died friends with more widely known poets such as Henry Lawson. John’s wife and 4 children all survived him. I chose the poem ANZAC because of it’s descriptive language, truth, and it’s use of the harsh reality of war, while not glorifying war in any way. The Poet uses a mixture of descriptive text, rhyming words and rhythm to display his views on World War 1. In every land I hear him sing; In every land I see him fling His country’s flag against the skies And gaze aloft with dazzled eyes; And then his loud applause rings roundAnalysis of â€Å"Toby† The poem: Toby is a poem that was written about the death of John’s dog. the poem begins in the Poet’s point of view, calling out the dog’s name, and finding him and realising he is dead. The use of descriptive and cold language engages the reader, and helps us to embrace the feelings that the poet is trying to force upon us. The nature of the poem encourages readers to think back on times that we may have lost a close or loved person, and the poem is both a metaphor and true. the second paragraph of the poem is centered around the sinking in of the fact that one of his closest companions was dead, and that there was now an emptiness in his heart, and silence in the house. Toby’s bark used to fill the house of noise when ever John came home from work, but now he is greeted by an empty house, and the memory of what a great companion Toby was. John uses language and emotions to make the readers feel a touch sad, and to bring our minds into his perspective. The third paragraph of the poem takes us on an emotional roller coaster while John reminisces over what a good mate Toby was for him, his loyalty and how he was always there for John. The third paragraph ends with John coming back to reality, and remembering that Toby is no longer there to greet him after a long day’s work. The nature of the last sentence of the paragraph is almost distraught, and the readers can almost feel John’s pain through his clever use of descriptive and emotive text. The final paragraph is a sense of closure for the poem, poet and readers. John lays Toby to his final resting place, and realises that Toby was the greatest companion that he has had, and they spent their time together trying to find the similarities, even though John was a man, and Toby was a dog, and John definitely found the man in Toby, whilst Toby spent his time trying to find out how dog-like John really was. The poem ends with a sense of happiness, as the poet seems to admit to the loss of his friend, and closes with the fact that Toby really was a man, as he is caring, kind, and always there for his mates, no matter what is going on. This was because NorodomSihanuk led a peaceful independence movement against the French. Norodom Sihanuk was the current Prince of Cambodia at that time. Soon after this, a communist group calledthe Khmer Rouge, which was lead by Pol Pot and backed up by the Chinesestepped in. They were in charge of Cambodia for eight years. Pol Pot and the Khmer Rouge murder millions of innocent Cambodians. Their rule ended when the Vietnamese took control. The Royal Government of Cambodia administersthe government in Cambodia. There are currently two Prime Ministers,who are Hun Sen, and Ran Narit. This was because after Pol Pot wasover thrown, there was one Prime Minister, but they had conflicts overwho it was supposed to be. The UN later came in and made the twoopposing people both prime Ministers so that there would be no conflict. This started on an internationally supervisedelection in 1993. Cambodia gained its independence on November 1953. This day is its national holiday. The capital of country capitalof Cambodia is Phnom Penh. The national flag has a blue backgroundwith a temple in the middle. A picture of it is on the poster display. The economy in Cambodia is certainly notthe best in the world. Sam Rainsy was the most visible and vocal Human Rights advocate in Cambodia. In this, Easter Sunday Massacre, there were 19 innocent people killed,and over a 100 people injured. The attempt to get Sam Rainsy failed,and all the people in Cambodia waited for the International public to helpout. There has not been much International helpin Cambodia and still the violence and economic problems continue. I seriously think that people should help more than they are doing now,and make this a big situation because many lives are at stake. Myproposal to the United Nations Economic Council is that they start donatingsome money to Cambodia to help out their economy. By building uptheir economy they can use their money to build schools, hospitals, andmore roads. By having educated people, more people could go and getjobs and strengthen the economy even more. My second proposal is towards the HumanRights Council of the United Nations. The Human Rights Council shouldsend food and medical aid to Cambodia. They should and could do thisuntil the economy of Cambodia gets better and good enough to support itsown people. My third proposal to the United Nationsis towards the Security Council. With a lot of violence going onin Cambodia, there needs to be some authority that can take control. The Security Council should send down troops to stop the violence and keepa sort of peace in Cambodia. Truly I think that Cambodia is a nice country,but a nice country with many problems. Girls tend to have more skill when it comes to co-ordination, things like hopping and skipping but boys are usually better when it comes to running, jumping or throwing, which is why boys mostly play sports like football and rugby and girls are mostly into gymnastics and dancing. From the ages of six to eleven years children’s ball skills can also be developed, this could involve dribbling the ball using their feet or catching it with their hands. It is in this age group that the child will play different kinds of sports and will eventually decide what sport they are suited to. Psychological development The psychological development in a child between two and six years old includes them imitating other children, if another child does something they will feel that they have to do it as well. Other children also start to become more important to them as they will form groups, they will also compare each mostly to see who the best is. They also still have to be told what to do at this age. From the age of six to eleven friends start to become a lot more important and can play a crucial role within their lives influencing their attitudes, beliefs and behaviour, they may also want to take part in a certain sport or activity just because their friend does it. In this age group they will also start listening to other people’s points of view and decide whether they agree with it or not. They will also start to understand working as part of a team and how it is important when difficult situations may occur within their life. The much loved Queen Elizabeth, who had been the monarch over such victories as the Spanish Armada, was dead, leaving no direct successor, only her second cousin from Scotland who was a rough-mannered, coarse, paranoid Scot, with a Calvinistic upbringing. Despite the vast differences between the Scottish and English Courts, James still managed to rule the country reasonably well and with a degree of stability, up to his death in 1625. Many historians have placed blame of the persecutions of Catholics on James shoulders, thus labeling him a tyrant. However, this is not entirely true, as most of the persecution that took place wasnt due to orders from James, but under a law passed in Queen Elizabeths reign, called the Act of Uniformity. Under this act, all were required to attend Church, with a shilling fine if you refused. This was to discourage recusants. However in conjunction with this act, was the Act of Supremacy, which required all judges, Members of Government, Justice of Peace, and mayors to take an oath approving the Royal supremacy. This meant they declared that the monarch was the supreme governor of the church. Those that refused to do so three times were executed. This ruling carried on, well into Jamess reign. This meant that for any Catholics who refused to take the oath, they would be executed. Another fact to consider is that James had lead a very paranoid childhood, ripe with assassination attempts, and family intrigue. As such he was very wary of people in general and in particular the Catholics. This paranoia increased after the gunpowder plot of 1605, although there are suspicions that it was all planned by James himself, to increase his popularity, and decrease Catholic sympathy. James should not be blamed for the persecution of the Catholics, as although he disliked them, he also disliked the puritans. The puritans didnt endure any major injustices as they were strictly Protestant. James disliked the extremities of their faith immensely, but they were not persecuted. Therefore it is possible that any persecution of Catholics that took place during his reign, were not under Jamess orders but someone else, such as Robert Cecil, who was a firm Protestant with very anti-Catholic views. James was also called a tyrant, because his coarse Scottish upbringing did not fit in well with the English Aristocracy. He was unkempt, brash, and tactless. Ideal for the boisterous violent Scottish court, but unheard of across the border. Thomas Macauly said of him: [he was prone to] stammering, slobbering, shedding unmanly tears, trembling at a drawn sword, and talking in a style alternatively of a buffoon and a pedagogue. The stammering and slobbering were most likely due to the fact he had a huge tongue and badly deformed mouth (due to the years of inbreeding between the many monarchies of Europe). He had been incredibly well educated for royalty of those times, and was fluent in several languages, but still spoke as a simple man in his court. Most of the descriptions of James come from Sir Anthony Weldon, who was a civil servant of the time. He disliked some of Jamess views on the Catholic situation, and so effectively badmouthed him in his writings The Court and Character of King James. This is one of the few texts that remain from that era, so is a frequently used source about James by historians studying that period. However it is not very pleasant, and offers an anti-James view, leaving us with no other source of contradiction. It is true that, under Jamess reign, the poor remained as hungry and insignificant as they had ever been. James has been accused of not listening to the people, and while this is true of the 95% of the population, he listened to the remaining 5% who were the landed aristocracy. These were the people with power, and therefore the ones worth listening to. And while sessions of parliament were irregular and often only for one purpose such as approval of money, James instead used the opportunities of the Royal court to stay in touch with the differing political opinions of the time. This meant that those in court could not speak freely of their opinions of James himself, to the same extent that they could in parliament, because they didnt have the luxury of certain rights (freedom of speech, freedom from arrest etc.) This prevented James from getting a clear idea of the political opinions about himself, so to ensure peoples loyalty he gave rewards such as cash, lands and titles. He also wrote extensively about how a king should act in his book Basilcon Doron, setting guidelines down for his son. Another argument against James is that on his journey down from Scotland to be crowned in London, he stopped in the town of Newark. He was witness to a pickpocket being caught and ordered that the punishment be hanging. The obedient councilors did as James said, and after the deed had been done told him that in England the king did not have the power to put someone to death without a trial. This is not a case of James having no respect for the law, simply a case of not knowing the differences between the English and Scottish systems. In conclusion, James was an adequate and fairly successful king. He was not the tyrant sometimes described, and listened to the people that mattered at the time, the landed aristocracy. Although he did not charm them the way the former queen did, he managed to keep them satisfied by gifts and rewards for loyalty at the expense of his own pocket. And he respected the law as much as was possible to, by following the guidelines he set himself.

Coffee-Mate has developed 29 flavours of creamers, customers can enjoy them in different forms in the wide range of: Powder, Liquid, Sugar-free and reduced fat (Coffee-mate, 2014). These comprehensive varieties of flavours offer Coffee-mate unrivalled product options which satisfy their customers’ expectations. ‘Coffee-mate kind of lifts the flavour. It makes a richer, better-tasting cup of coffee, whether it be an instant or a real one.’ (Coffee-mate article, 2014). The huge customer base could be an opportunity for Coffee-mate to target and capture their market; or a thread if Coffee-mate targeted the market wrongly. By referring to Figure 1, Market targeting can be implemented at different stages: Broad (Mass-marketing), Narrow (Micro-marketing) or in between (Concentrated marketing). In this subtitle will evaluate the market targeting strategies and recommend the best strategy according to Coffee-mate current situation. 2.1 Mass-marketing (Targeting one segment) If Coffee-mate chooses to use mass-marketing, which means it will be ignoring the entire market segments’ characteristics and choose to target the whole market with only one product type (Hartline F, 2011). If so, Coffee-mate will lose the market share generated by their extended product, Coffee-mate Lite (Article, 2014). It is most likely to be impossible for Coffee-mate to develop a product to fit into all the segments because each segments has their own unique characteristics. Also, Coffee-mate might be facing more competitive peers with a more product-focused and tailored marketing strategy (Micro-marketing). Micro-marketing only aims at one segment where the company will try to customize its product to fit the customer perfectly, which can be considered as a thread for Coffee-mate if it is implementing the mass-marketing strategy which aims the market segments broadly. Consequently, Coffee-mate will lose its competitiveness; relatively lose its market dominance. 2.2 Concentrated Marketing (Targeting multiple segments) Differentiated marketing allows Coffee-mate to target few large and potential sub segments with one or more than one product (Hartline F, 2011). Coffee-mate should choose to target multiple segments by implementing differentiated marketing strategy, in order to increase their profitability and its possible for them to gain more market dominance it’s achieved in previous times (55%). In details, Coffee-mate and Coffee-mate Lite should have targeted different segments according to to customers age, income level, social status etc. It was given that the coffee-mate and coffee-mate lite act as a complement goods to coffee, they both are undergoing a change in parallel. Through observation wise, National Food Survey (N/A) suggested that households will keen to spend more on coffee if they are earning high income and old pensioners spent most among the customers (Exhibit 10.3). The National Food Survey (N/A) stated that there is a slightly skew of heavy Coffee-mate buyers towards the characteristics of: lower social class, aged 45+ and 2-3 person households with children. Whereas, the Coffee-mate Lite users have a slight bias towards 45-64 year-olds, full-time working housewives and households without children. Health concern like fat intake has been raising the awareness of customers. Consequently, some customers might be reluctant to add creamer to coffee. Therefore, Coffee-mate Lite can be segmented for customers who are most likely yo be concerned with their health levels. From all information and observations, it is concluded that Coffee-mate should aim at multiple segment. 3.0 Evaluation of TGI’s user survey TGI’s User Survey covered instant/ground coffee and powdered milk/coffee creamer, market yielded five potential consumer groups for Coffee-mate. As aforementioned, Coffee-mate should choose to aim to serve multiple segments. Hence, this part of the report will aim to evaluate the attractiveness of these 5 potential segments that TGI surveyed. It is also aim to recommend the best segment for Coffee-mate to target. Additionally, users of creamer like the experimentalists are likely to replace their consumption from cream to Coffee-mate because they are considered as substitute goods. 3.2 Segment 2 Cost Constrained, Older, Conservative People in the cost constrained, older and conservative group are more sensitive to the variation of the price. When come to purchasing, the demand would be more price elastic, they would ignore the brand and price will be their first concern. In result, they would buy cheaper competitor brands. Furthermore, they are not really a user of Coffee-mate. Consequently, for Coffee-mate, this segment is not worth targeting due to a low brand loyalty and high possibility of substitution effect. 3.3 Segment 3 – Affluent, Young Foodies The affluent, young foodies are the people who prefer healthier diet; they are willing and affordable to pay more for that. These people claimed to use Coffee-mate often and also cream consumers. Consequently, the Sarah and Anna group would be the potential customer based for Coffee-mate. In addition, Coffee-mate Lite would be the best product to sell them since it is healthier and lower fat. 3.4 Segment 4 – Cost Constrained, Young Families ‘Dawn and Lisa’ group is severely constrained by their low income. They are not health conscious, indeed they have a mind-set of frozen food is as nutritious as fresh foods. Hence, they tend to buy own-label goods cause of the cheaper price they offer. Cost Constrained, young families never use cream. Thus, Coffee-mate should not set them as a targeted segment because they are improbable to use its product. 3.5 Segment 5 – Affluent The ‘Dorothy and Amy’ group of consumer has been considered as the people that are most likely to buy Coffee-mate’s product. However, advertising of Coffee-mate could be hard to reach them as they have low media awareness and they found ads are not entertaining. If Coffee-mate wants to aim this segment, Coffee-mate Lite would be the best product to serve them. Yet, they are fairly traditional, might tend to use milk or real cream as a complement to their coffee. 4.0 Recommendations Based on the TGI’s User Survey, the ‘Affluent, young foodies’ and ‘Experimentalists’ are the most potential group for Coffee-mate to target and they all fit into Coffee-mate’s strengths. Affluent, young foodies tend to try new products, this push Coffee-mate a better position. However, the only drawback is they are very health conscious. IKEA is an internationally known home furnishing retailer. It has grown fast since it was founded in 1943. Today it is the world’s largest furniture retailer, recognized for its Scandinavian style and the low priced high quality furniture items. Most of IKEA’S furniture is flat-pack. This allows a reduction in costs and packaging. IKEA has around 9500 products, including home furniture and accessories. The products are available in all IKEA stores and customers can order them as well online through IKEA’S website. There are about 140 IKEA stores in the world in 30 different countries. IKEA stores include restaurants and cafà ©Ã¢â‚¬â„¢s serving typical Swedish food. They also have small food shops selling Swedish groceries, everything from the famous meatballs to jam. 2. Analysis of current situation Current mission: IKEA’S mission is to offer a wide range of home furnishing items of good design and function, excellent quality and durability, at prices so low that the majority of people can afford to buy them. They aim to attract customers who are looking for quality products at reasonable prices, but who are willing to assemble their furniture themselves and participate in a self-service culture. The typical target customers are young families with a low to middle low income. – Goals: Their recent goals is that all new stores will be built to a certified green building standard and sell more organic goods. And to encourage their customers to travel with public transport to visit their store. They want to be more recognized as an eco-friendly business. Strategies: The basis of IKEA’S strategy is a mixture of innovate their own modular designs, mass produced components and a dedicated supplier network all geared towards serving price conscious customers while still maintaining a to high standard of goods and workmanship. They design their own furniture and it’s a self-service, that is a big part of their strategy. They also have a lot of facilities to offer. For instance they offer paper and pencils, computers so you can look certain things up, they have a playground for children and a restaurant with delicious and payable food. Since IKEA was founded it always had concern for people and the environment. The IKEA vision is â€Å"to create a better everyday life for many people†. IKEA’S concern for people and the environment encourages it to make better use of both raw materials and energy. This keeps costs down and helps the company to reach its green targets and have an overall positive impact on the environment. 4 3. Internal environment -Strengths: Strengths could include a company’s specialist marketing expertise or its location. They are any aspect of the business that adds value to its product or service. IKEA’S strengths include: It’s a worldwide brand which attracts a lot of consumer groups, they also offer the same quality and range in their stores. its vision ‘to create a better everyday life for many people’ A strong concept based on offering a wide range of well designed, functional product at low prices. A positive Human Resource Management approach towards its staff, which leads to a positive attitude among the staff and increased performance for the company. This makes the staff happy with their jobs. The staff has an equal treatment, no matter which background they have. This makes them adapt to the consumers in different countries en within different cultures. They adapt quickly to change. They use the latest technology such as IKEA IT (information technology), this provides IKEA with all its system requirements such as common business solutions, architecture, infrastructure, service and support. Such as KPI (Key performance indicators) it helps IKEA to measure the progress of its vision and long-term goals by setting targets and monitoring progress towards it. Environmentally friendly policy. Volume commitments IKEA believes in creating long-term partnerships with its suppliers in order to achieve this. By committing to buying large volumes over a number of years IKEA can negotiate lower prices. This also benefits the suppliers because they enjoy the greater security of having guaranteed orders. Economies of scale for instance, bulk buying at cheaper unit costs. Good marketing. Weaknesses: IKEA has to acknowledge its weaknesses in order to improve and manage them. This can play a key role in helping it to set objectives and develop new strategies. The size and scale of its world wide business. This could makes it difficult to control all the stores, the staff and the standards. The need for low cost products. This needs to be balanced against producing good quality. That is hard to do, sometimes they do have low quality. IKEA also needs to be different from competitors. These are goods that cannot be provided by the private sector but are very essential to the development of a country’s economy. They are usually very expensive undertakings with fewer returns or take a long time for the investors to recoup their money back. This makes them to be less attractive to the private sector investors who are mainly driven by the profit motive and would thus be unwilling to invest their resources in such projects. The government has the mandate of providing such goods that are very essential which have indivisible cost with a marginal cost of zero (Kaul, 2006). It is not possible to practically charge the public for the utilizing such goods. The government can therefore, only collect taxes from the public to enable it provide public goods. Public goods in this category include roads and state security provided by the policemen who are paid by the government. There are other public goods that even though, they have high returns and the private sector can be able to invest in them, they cannot be allowed to do so by the government due to the amount of risk involved. Manufacturing or trading of weapons is a risky activity that no government can be willing to allow it to be done by the private sector as it would put the public into a lot of risk since the private sector investors in such an industry would mostly be guided by the profit motive and not whether or not ammunitions will be on the wrong hands or the right ones (Kaul, 2006). The public goods are very important to everyone, including the private investors who shy away from investing their resources in such ventures. It is this importance that makes the government to be under obligation of providing such goods to its people since they are very essential and it is only the government that is best placed to provide them (Kaul, 2006).
